Chopper Spins Out of Control into Palm Trees at Well-Known Southern California Beach
A chopper flying above a crowded coastal shoreline suddenly started spinning wildly, ultimately losing altitude and plunging into a line of palm trees as spectators looked on.
Recordings shared on social media show the chopper commencing to spiral near Huntington Beach then falling towards the perimeter of the shore, where it gets stuck among palm groves and a staircase near the Pacific Coast highway.
First Aid Information
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five people were transported to a medical facility comprising a pair who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the incident on the weekend.
Three persons on the pavement were hurt. Information on their injuries were not immediately available.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.
